Tipos de Pokémon

Pokémon and their moves (attacks) have types. There are 18 types in total. A Pokémon can have 1 or 2 types. A move can only have 1 type. Types have their own strengths and weaknesses, which are to be shown with the factors in the chart below. It would be advantageous to use moves that has type superiority against the type of enemy's Pokémon in the battles. So that, it will inflict more damage and will increase the chance to win the match.

How to Read the Chart

The Pokémon Types Chart below may seem complicated at first, but actually is based on a simple formula. Let's consider the Electric type:

It's seen for the "Electric" type on the "Move Type" column that, there is a match with the Normal Type initially, stating "x1". That means, when attacked to a "Normal" type Pokémon, with a Electric type move, the damage is being multiplied by 1, so it remains "standart". Same for all other types with factor "x1".

For the Flying type, the factor is x1.60. It means that an Electric type move will inflict more damage to a Flying type Pokémon. Also same for the Water type Pokémon.

And for the matching with the Grass, Electric and Dragon types, the factor is x0.62, stating that the Electric type moves inflict less damage on these types of Pokémon. And for the "Ground" type, the factor is x0.39, and that means "Electric" type moves are even less effective against Ground type Pokémon.
